^^OriGaMi^^

Hi guys!
This Sunday we are going to teach the kids ORIGAMI!!!
Here are some of the videos showing how to do it.
So remember to watch it, follow it, practise it, so that we can teach the kids.
Let's enjoy the learning process & have fun together with them this Sunday!

1st Frog

2nd Flapping Bird

A clearer instruction of doing the flapping bird...

ENJOY YA!=)

Mark 9:36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them:
and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me:
and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

Mark 10:14 ...Suffer the little children to come unto me,
and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God...
16 And he took them up in his arms,
put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

It is a blessing for us to make the little children happy although we might need to sacrifice little of our time and effort.

Jesus loved the little children, he had a merry heart to love and accept them. And the children knew it, as children are generally attracted by loving and cheerful adults. They felt comfortable with Him and loved to stick with Him wherever He goes.=)

Amazing *LOVE*

Before the journey begins....=)

Amazingly, here goes... our very first visit to Taman Megah's home!
I believe those who went to the place together would agree that we had such a great & fun time hanging around with the kids.
Merely the smile on their faces can melts our hearts & let us feel that it's worth sacrificing our time & effort to care for them!

As what we've planned, we sang 2 beautiful children songs which is " Hari Ini" & "Walking in the light of the LORD" with actions. We ourselves practicing the songs were fun enough as the actions of the songs are so cute & exciting, so what's more for the kids, some of them even requested for
encore for both of the songs..lol..

After that, we sang the game song, "when you are happy & you know you will clap your hands" with actions too & it started to be a bit hard for us to control the crowd of kids as they are too excited after singing the 2 songs. They just scattered around, pulling & shaking our hands (for a lot of times =D), clinging onto us, asking for attention & some trying to share their stories with us. So, after that we just hung around with them & talked to them. Some of us became the 'Santa Claus', distributing candies & balloons to the kids.

Apart from that, some of the kids are disabled & most of them are inside the living hall of the center. Most of these kids can't communicate, can't move & have not much reactions when we talked to them. Thus, some of us tried our best to let them know someone cared for them by patting them & prayed for them.

When we were leaving the place, some of us felt so reluctant to leave...aww...=)

At the end of the trip, we were tired...BUT...it's all worth it...cuz we spent a
fruitful & meaningful afternoon there...

Really looking forward to another trip...
Thank you guys for making this trip possible!
I'm sure God is proud of all of you!!!

For those who couldn't make it for this trip, don't worry, you can still join us for the coming trip!

Other than that, I need a favor from all of you, I need you guys to give me
feedbacks or ideas for this trip & the coming trips so that we can improve each and every trip to be more fun & efficient! Thanks!!!

ps: Photos ---COMING SOON! ;)

Have a blessed week ahead!!!^^

Check these videos out!!! It comes with actions. =)

Very soon, we will start our first move to the center...
Progressing.....10%.....20%.....30%......40%..............
50%................60%......................70%.....................80%......................

For those who missed the last meeting, just wanna update you all regarding our action plan.
Our initial date to the center was 26th April, however, we just get to know that we need to submit an activity plan to church 2 weeks before our date for approval.
So, now our action date will tentatively fall on the 3rd of May at 2pm!

As this is our very first visit, our main purpose is to explore the environment & get to know the people in the center.

With the combination of both teams(Team 14 & 16), we will have around 30 people all together.

The visitation will take around 2 hours depending on the situation on that day itself.
Currently, our team has 3 people confirmed has a car (Emily, Jun Man & Ethan). For others who owns or acquires a car, do let me know as soon as possible ya!

Activities for the day

Tentatively this will be our plan.
We will meet at 11.30pm on that day, go through the activities to make sure everyone is clear with what they need to do, then we will have lunch before we depart. Departure Time : 2pm.

Time

Activities

Person-in-charged

2.30pm-3.00pm

After greeting the people & settled down, we will have a short & simple ‘Praise & Worship’ where we will sing 2 Sunday School Songs-“Hari Ini” & “Walking in the light of God”(with actions).

I need 1 guitarist & 3 people leading in front. The others will mix around with the children & teach them.

3.00pm-3.40pm

Games Time!

1st: We will play a game called “If you are happy and you know you will clap your hands”. We will change the action ‘clap your hands’ to others like ‘touch your head’, ‘step your feet’, ‘shake your but’ etc. & the rhythm will go faster & faster to make it more fun! The kids will be rewarded with candies after the game.

2nd: We will ask the kids to volunteer themselves & choose a few of them to play the game ‘Giant Balloon’. They will compete against each other to see who has the biggest balloon in 20 seconds. The winning one will receive a gift while every kid will get a balloon.

Issey will lead the 1st game with a few others & the remaining people will mix around with the kids & play together with them.

Michelle will lead the 2nd game with a few others. After the game, we will distribute balloons to all the kids.

3.40pm-4.00pm

Refreshment Time!

We will prepare some light refreshment for the kids.

1. Cake

2. Jelly

3. Snack

Every one of us will have to distribute the food to the kids & hang around with them during the refreshment time. Just talk to them, be friend & care for them. For some of the disabled kids who need help, just available yourself to help them. Let’s have a serving heart! =)

After everything around 4pm or later, we will leave the center anticipating for the next visitation.

Say Goodbye.

As there are around 100 kids in the center, I encourage each of you to stick with the 3-4 kids & let them be under your care throughout the entire day or even year!
Be friend with them & most importantly build relationship with them so that we can really meet their needs & impact them to be a better person!

Remember,
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

We are to go out to LOVE people & we are serving God, not ourselves!
I really hope all of us can serve with JOY & have a big heart to face every troubles that we might encounter in the future.
Of course you can always come to me or Michelle if you have any queries or problems!

Have a great week ahead!
Will update you guys soon with the progress!
If you have any ideas, feel free to share with everyone too!

Thanks!
See you guys around! ^^
